Amongst the many peaks that make up the Rokko mountain range, Mt. Maya offers explorers the chance to experience wild Japanese forest. On this one and a half hour hike, participants will be guided by an expert, allowing them to relax and take in the unique flora and fauna of Japan.
At the peak, participants will have time to relax at a cafe and take in the spectacular view of Kobe that extends all the way to Osaka. After a short break, the group will visit the Mt. Maya Tenjoji, also known as the ‘Temple of Flowers,’ where the mother of Buddha is enshrined. In the main temple, the group will experience zazen, a form of meditation practiced by the Buddhist monks of the temple who will lead the session.
