Home to 26 sake breweries, this region is famed for the unique medium-hard water called "Miyamizu," which is used to produce some of the most flavourful and aromatic sakes in Japan. During the Edo period, Nada-Gogō supplied 80% of the sake consumed in Edo (now Tokyo). This history and reputation for quality make Nada-Gogō a must-visit destination for any sake enthusiast.
