2018.10.16 Yukata and Matcha experience in the historical Arima hot springs district
The Kobe Convention Bureau offers support to groups looking to experience Japanese culture first hand.
An incentive group from Thailand recently made the most of this service, taking a stroll through Kobe’s old European settlement area Kitano, followed by a trip to the historical Arima hot springs district where the group tried on Yukata, and participated in a Matcha tea ceremony.
Participants can choose from a large variety of Yukata in both men and women’s styles, even choosing their own Obi, the belt that fastens the Yukata. This time the group from Thailand chose largely floral designs and had a great time strolling the historical streets of Arima creating a scene straight out of old Japan. The group also participated in a Matcha tea ceremony and attended a party in their Yukata to become the talk of the night.
